Mala Rakovitsa

    The village of Mala Rakovitsa is located in western Bulgaria 24 km from the town of Bozhurishte. Bozhurishte is a town and a municipality which includes 10 settlements with 6825 residents. It is part of Sofia Province.
   Bozhourishte Municipality is situated immediately next to the capital city of Sofia, on international road Е-80 Belgrade - Istanbul. It is in the southwestern part of the Sofia field. There are deposits of coal and manganese ore on its territory. There are 4 mineral springs. Reliable communications with Sofia and the neighboring municipalities are in place. The town has been converted to natural gas.
   The climate is moderate continental, and the relief is low-mountainous. Bozhourishte Municipality is declared to be one of the environmentally cleanest areas in Bulgaria, suitable for herbs production and eco tourism. Another factor conducive to this situation is the closeness of Vitosha Mountain and Lulin Mountain. The town of Bozhurishte is famous also for its tradition in aviation and aircrafts building.
   This area where the village of Mala Rakovitsa is located is popular with the clean healing air and the mineral springs. The town of Bankia is well known for producing and distributing bottled mineral water all over the country. If you love the beautiful nature and the healing power of the water this is the right place for you. Also the region offers good conditions for fishing and hunting.
